I'm using IE, and I just tested on Firefox too: same result. (Win XP here too)

I do notice that the download count on netlabel items is increased everytime I try to get a file (don't know if this is relevant).

Also: I'm in Europe; does that make any difference? (mirror or anything?)

Hmmm. Very strange. Other than the 4 XP security updates installed overnight, i've had not changes to my machine (XP, FF 1.5 browser). Brad and Diana both have no problems but others do. Hmmm, You're both moderators. I wonder if any non-moderators can currently download files without the XML error message? Perhaps ya'll have some special connection software related to official duties.... Seems quite a puzzle, and with so many users having the same problem is unlikely individual machines/setups. But obviously, something has changed.

Ive tried all three computers at the house. each one gets the same error. I also tried to paste the link straight into winamp, still a no go. tried using realplayer, no good. Ive used both Firefox 1.0 and 1.5, as well as IE. At about 10:30 last night is when this began, couldnt get any Jason Ricci and New Blood to work, i went from show to show and actually found one working for a few minutes and then it cut out.

it seems to be ISP related, as some people get in fine while others do not.

I'm using bellsouth.net in Florida. I'll try on work network tomorrow. But I agree that it seems unlikely that all of a sudden unrelated ISPs in Europe and the US start exhibiting the same problem.

I do appreciate the LMA efforts to run down the problem! thanks.

My ISP - Roadrunner
Browser- Firefox 1.5 or whatever the newest version is.
OS ----- XP Pro

I got my 1st error message at about 1AM EST

This sucks, as I just found this site, and bought a 110G slave to download these massive files.

A world wide ISP problem? Come on!
Isn't it about time you go check things at a different level? The software? The servers?
It's almost 12 hours ago since this whole thing started...

If you meant you noticed the problem since after midnight PST, then I expect any real-time period of investigation for engineers has been rather shorter than that. It's only approaching 1 PM in the workday, after all...

Well, that's still about 5 hours of work :-)

But seriously, yes I understand and I appreciate what you guys are doing. It's just that I sent out a major mailing about my netlabel last night and it makes me kinda nervous to know that some of the national media here have looked at my site withouth being able to actually listen to anything....

Arg, bad luck on the timing- my sympathies! On the plus side, it's not affecting 100% of visitors, so maybe there are many successful clicks after all.

Oh no thanks to me, it goes to actual staff/engineer folks (Bill, Tracey, Alexis et al)! I'm just a bystander on this kind of stuff.

A world wide ISP problem? Come on!

I take it you weren't here when there were widespread problems due to ISP business conflicts a couple months ago...

No, but there were a lot of reports of them... (just like today)

Your frustration is apparent and understandable. It's being looked into by the engineers, as soon as they find something I'm sure it will be fixed if it's on the archive.org end.

At work I don't have those new XP security patches installed (don't ask...) and it didn't work there either, so I don't think it has anything to do with that.
